Inside Sales Application Engineer

SUMMARY

Sells pumps and pump products to distributors and customers in person and over the telephone by performing the following duties. This position will be working in the Industrial Pump Sales department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related (Industrial Sales) experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Answers customers questions concerning correct selection of Cornell equipment. Requires intense telephone work with excellent customer satisfaction and communication skills.
• Write and input general sales quotes and sales orders.
• Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders
• Acquire, interpret, apply technical pump information (BOM, Curves, Dimensions)
• Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
• Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
• Provides product demos (cutaways/display pumps) to qualified customers on request
• Project Management of Large Projects as required
• Performs prospective dealer visits (arrange travel, perform visits, submit expenses), represent Cornell at dealer conducted functions, represent Cornell at tradeshow and other marketing functions
• Travels to customer's locations and trade shows as required.
