This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work.

Job Summary

The Field Sales Representative is part of the US Sales team and is responsible for providing remote advice and support to predominantly small Dealers including product support, sales and growth advice to meet retail targets, communication of H-D policies and programs, issue identification via metric scorecards and to provide answers and advice to Dealer questions. The Field Sales Representative team is responsible for delivering an outstanding experience and effectively solving problems for the Dealer, or when needed, identify the right support link within the broader organization to do so. This role will collaborate with the Field Sales team as well as internal departments, working collaboratively to deliver value to the dealer network. Additionally, the representative evaluates and participates in improving processes and sharing best practices to reduce waste, improve speed, and enhance business and dealer outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Dealer, develop and gain buy in for strategic market plan, inclusive of attainment of retail targets, market reports, trending performance and market share. Plans will address growth opportunities and deficiencies.
  • In conjunction with the Network Development and Regional Market teams, develop the strategy and execution of programs and policies to optimize the dealer network.
  • Leverage Dealer Operations & Marketing Consulting teams, business scorecards, best practice manuals and dealer performance data to suggest strategic improvement opportunities.
  • Utilize technological tools to help effectively manage Dealer contacts remotely and identify management opportunities to improve dealer and team performance.
  • Provide constructive feedback and play an influencer role to drive improved Dealer performance.
  • Proactively communicate changes to H-D policies and programs, Marketing programs, etc.
  • Identify and request Help Chain support as needed to help Dealers with performance, service, marketing, and operational issues
  • Ability to spend approximately 2-4 weeks per year in the Field to strengthen dealer relations, assist in implementation of Dealer business plan actions, ensure grounding in dealer experience and for professional development.
  • Conduct monthly vehicle forecasting and quarterly Territory/Dealer plan reviews
  • Analyze and review performance metrics on a regular cadence and work with Dealers to adjust as necessary.
  • Develop training plan for Dealers in defined territory and request support for instructor-led training.
  • Enable two-way feedback loop between Dealer and Field Leadership to resolve issues and risks in a timely manner.
Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and exert influence to generate positive and/or different business results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) and coordinate with all employee levels and work within a collaborative, fast paced and interactive team environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and capability to translate reports and data into actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be capable of working flexible hours as required by the needs of the Dealers.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Requires an understanding of financial measures, forecasting and other analytical skills.
  • Retail expertise, negotiation and influencing skills and ability to communicate are essential to success.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
