Job Description Summary:

PayPal is looking for self-driven team player to join our growing Security Operations group. The Insider Threat Engineer will monitor on and respond to suspicious employee activity, and assist corporate investigation partners and develop new detection methods to identify risky behaviours. Successful candidates will possess a blend of general business, technology and security competencies. Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Insider Threat monitoring use cases
• Conduct and triage anomalous events of concern using industry data loss prevention tools to include UEBA and User Activity monitoring capabilities
• Documenting each stage of the investigation and maintaining a focus on case logs and details
• Recommend and review new use cases for insider threat monitoring
• Regularly collaborate with its partners across the organization to respond to incidents and aid in investigation
• Must be able to operate under tight deadlines and a quick learner in applying new tools and techniques

Requirement

• Insider Threat and or Counterintelligence program experience
• Hands on experience with investigative and or insider threat tools, such as UBA, DLP, Computer Forensics, Monitoring, Splunk, Incident Response, Databases, OR data visualization tools
• Understanding and or working knowledge of insider threats in the Dark and Deep web
• Foundational knowledge in conducting complex investigations with an Insider Threat emphasis
• Experience conducting investigative interviews
• Understand tactics, techniques and procedures employed by criminal adversaries in relation to insider threats.
• Exhibits exceptional critical thinking writing skills
• Strong cyber analysis experience as it relates to insider threats, experience with data analytics tools and databases
