Health Gorilla is one of the organizations whose application has been accepted for onboarding as a candidate Qualified Health Information Network and must now successfully complete testing and onboarding before official designation as a QHIN.
Health Gorilla is hiring a hands-on Integration Engineer passionate about implementing customer technical integrations on the Health Gorilla Clinical Network. You will report to the Director of Technical Services.
What you will do at Health Gorilla
- The Integration Engineer implements integration solutions on the Health Gorilla Clinical Network.
- Engage directly with customers developing applications and solutions on the Health Gorilla Clinical Network.
- Learn to implement the Health Gorilla IHE and FHIR APIs with several customers.
- Recommend development best practices to clients integrating their applications with Health Gorilla's FHIR APIs.
- Troubleshoot client integration issues in sandbox and production environments.
- Build new processes to improve the customer experience.
- Work across sales, product, and engineering to advocate for clients' integration needs.
What you bring to the role
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare, HIE, HIN, or related fields
- Experience building HL7 V2 interfaces in middleware tools, Mirth (or another middleware engine) for interface mapping, document repositories, relational databases, and working with customers to deploy new business solutions.
- Experience implementing standard data exchange formats using FHIR APIs (XML and JSON).
- Experience in software development, infrastructure, or other technical profession.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, or other object-oriented and scripting languages
- BS degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent work experience

- Health Gorilla takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this role is $98,000 to $149,000, based on experience and geography. Please note that ranges may be modified at any time, and there is no guarantee offers will be at the top of a posted range.
