About the Role
We are looking for an interim Director of People & Recruiting. This is a contract position for 4-5 months filling in during a team member's maternity leave. You must have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from sourcing and recruiting to hiring to onboarding, and from employee compensation to performance evaluation. Your role will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like hiring, administering employee benefits and leaves, and crafting HR policies. Recruiting for a handful of key positions will be one of your main tasks during this time. You will use Rippling, our Human Resources Information System to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential and provide payroll support to the finance team. And you’ll also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics. You will report directly to our Managing Director, and act in close coordination with our Founder and executive leadership team across our portfolio of companies.
Accountabilities
- HR Management:
- Maintain employee files and records electronically
- Run reporting within our HRIS system for various functions
- Run performance reviews and compensation adjustments
- Payroll support
- Maintain record of all contractorsÂ
- Recruitment:Â
- Scope and post roles
- Manage the entire hiring process from scoping, posting and sourcing to offer acceptance
- Work with external recruiters as necessaryÂ
- Draft and send important contracts and offer letters
- Employee Relations:
- Conduct employee onboarding and off-boarding
- Ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Nurture a positive working environment
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of HR processes & employee relations.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist
- Minimum of 3+ years
- Additional HR training and certification will be a plus
- Experience in the Digital Media industry
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Excellent recruitment track record
- Proficient knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Outstanding knowledge of GSuite, Slack, Rippling and LeverÂ
- Experience with Lattice is a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Start Date: February 12th, 2023 and ends on July 12th, 2023
(dates are subject to change slightly)
While this position may be remote, we are looking for someone ideally in Denver, Colorado who can come to our LoHi office one day per week.
