Do you want to play a role in global commerce?
Our accounting team is responsible for global financial reporting and analysis for a large multi-billion dollar global Real Estate Investment Trust listed on the S&P 500. We strive to operate as a cohesive team and be a trusted source to our co-workers to provide timely, accurate and meaningful reporting and implement practical solutions. During your internship, you will learn and grow with your role on the Accounts Payable team. This role will be responsible for entering and coding vouchers, applying cash receipts and identifying and implementing process improvements. You will be given the opportunity to interact with various departments within Prologis to gain an understanding of our business and technology. The right candidate will enjoy thinking critically to enhance and further standardize and automate our processes.
Here's how to do that:

• Review invoices and accurately apply general ledger coding when not identified by Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
• Review daily invoice coding exceptions and ensure errors are fixed timely
• Reconcile property utility accounts and clear reconciling differences timely
• Research and reconcile outstanding checks and report unclaimed property to appropriate states when applicable

• Pursuing a bachelor or master degree in accounting and completed a minimum of two (preferable three) years of undergraduate-level coursework
• Enthusiastic candidate that is an analytical thinker and detail-oriented
• Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to complete assigned work accurately and timely
• Proficient with Excel and a desire to learn and enhance the general ledger system, associated subsystems, and reporting tools
• Ability to independently and effectively set priorities to manage high volumes of work while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across multiple functional, cultural and management levels (oral and written)
• Demonstrated ability to learn and then routinely apply policies and procedures without daily instruction and under general supervision

Target base compensation for this role: $24/hour.
