Intern, Cost Accounting

Job Summary

Candidate will support Cost Accounting Team initiatives that ensures accuracy of Operational performance, inventory valuation and proper recording of Cost of Goods. Includes pSemi owned product locally and in worldwide supply chain.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

• Setting Standard Costs
• Rolling Bills of Materials for Multi-Level Products
• Running Point in Time Period End Reports
• Initial analysis of actual data to Plan and gap identification to understand risks and opportunities
• Participation in high profile ad hoc cost analysis directed by Cost Accounting Leadership
• Assist in analyzing Business Processes and suggesting improvements

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

• Solid understanding of mathematics and experience in creating and analyzing algorithms
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point
• Knowledge of Concept of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to analyze data and summarize key activities driving efficiencies/inefficiencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Flow Charting in MS Visio or another automated tool
• Hands on Accounting Experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills vertically and horizontally
• Strength in documentation clarity and completeness and able to interpret and communicate
• Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet requirements on schedule
• Willingness to go beyond what's required including occasional overtime during close periods

Education Requirements

• Currently working towards a B.S. in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business
