Intern, Data Science & Analytics

The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team's success, learn about JM Family's companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more.

The ideal candidate will be available to work full time hours during the Summer Internship Program (June 3, 2024 - August 9, 2024).

This internship will include projects and tasks that relate to data science as well as data analysis and engineering.

The Data Science Department performs advanced analysis of JM&A's sales and loss data. The department also performs actuary services and an internship in this department would include excellent exposure to real-world data science work.

Responsibilities:

• Data Extraction
• Data Metadata Documentation
• Feature Engineering
• Model Development and Evaluation
• Solution Design

Qualifications:

• We are open to discussing remote, in-person and hybrid options
• Ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor or graduate degree seeking program at an accredited college or university with a focus in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics (qualified candidates actively enrolled for a degree in a related field will also be considered) and must have completed at least one semester of classes
• Relevant completed coursework including computer programming, statistic, machine learning or similar
