In the Windows + Devices (W+D) organization, we are on a mission to build trusted and open platforms and devices that enrich people's lives and connect them to all Microsoft has to offer. We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager who will be charged with delivering impactful and engaging messages to internal and external audiences. Specifically, the Internal Communications Manager will drive the development and production of internal communications materials and deployment of communications for Microsoft's Chief Product Officer .

In this role you will create an internal communications strategy that drives clarity, brings the team together, and keeps people engaged and informed. You will strategize for internal events such as Town Halls, All Hands, and Partner Meetings. You will leverage your writing, editing, and presentation skills, and a deep knowledge of how to advance a meaningful organizational culture and internal communications best practices. The I nternal Communications Manager will work quickly and accurately under pressure and collaborate with other teams across W+D and Microsoft.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ experience in Internal communications, executive communications or speech writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies.
  • Ability to think creatively and implement creative ideas.
  • Comfort in fast paced environments.
  • Proficient project management and communication skills.
  • Proficient collaboration across many stakeholders, executive leaders, and teams.
Communications IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $80,900 - $162,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,300 - $176,900 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and production of internal communications materials and deployment of communications tactics.
  • Lead stories across teams in fresh ways that generate positive perceptions towards W+D Leadership.
  • Align communications to the W+D strategy and business objectives.
  • Create ideas for and develop collateral materials (e.g. posts, talking points) for use in a range of communications initiatives and events.
  • Conceptualize and develop content to educate, guide, and advise internal stakeholders on communications strategy and tactics.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the reputation and perception of our products and teams internally.
  • Monitor, track, and analyze the impact of and the response to internal communications messaging and events.
  • Work with individuals and teams to develop and maintain platform and voice, aligned to the Chief Product Officer and W+D organizational objectives.
  • Lead development, review, and editing of materials including briefing materials, scripting/messaging for internal keynotes, presentations, social media, and events.
  • Create and deploy consistent leadership messaging for the W+D Leadership Team.
  • Work with the W+D Communications Designers to manage the W+D SharePoint, W+D Newsletter, and other internal communications resources.
  • Assist Communications and Production Manager with the coordination and execution of video shoots and management of Studio 86.
