As Podium’s internal communications lead, you will be responsible for helping build a world-class employee experience and employer brand. With Podium’s growth trajectory and mission to help local businesses win, the need for efficient, scalable internal communications programs throughout the organization is mission-critical as we grow.
The Internal Communications Manager will report to the Director of Communications and work directly with the Executive team and senior leaders across Podium. The role is located at our HQ in Lehi, Utah. Â
What you will be doing:Â
- Collaborate closely with our executives and leaders to identify and manage informative and culture-building company meetings and experiences, particularly our bi-weekly company Town Hall meeting
- Build inspiring internal, hybrid communications programs and experiences that drive deeper alignment and execution towards the company’s mission and vision, as well as foster connection and culture
- Identify and establish best in class hybrid work experiences and communication channels to reach employees at all levels, across all departments, and across all locationsÂ
- Manage all aspects of internal communications needs for proactive / reactive updates and issues management (partnering very closely with external communications team), including but not limited to exec appointments and departures, annual kickoffs, strategy updates, quarterly business reviews, etc.Â
- Drive cross-functional partnership and content process with key stakeholders across People Operations, IT, and other leaders to ensure rigor and thoughtful cadence in the communications programming to employees
- Establish analysis and metrics for internal communications programs in partnership with People Operations to ensure employees understand the company’s priorities and are able to do their best work
- Proactively identify opportunities and develop new communications programs or strategy to uplevel internal communications and improve our processes for more proactive, clear, and consistent communications
- Ensure communications practices help Podium to create inclusive environment and help our employees become the best ambassadors for our brand
In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has:Â
- 4+ years in an internal communications role supporting fast-paced and growing organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with a focus on clear, transparent and consistent communications
- Experience communicating to a highly distributed workforce, hybrid work experience a plus
- Comfort and ease in interfacing with senior level executives and leaders across the organization (Has done work that guides and influences senior stakeholders)
- Flexible and able to maintain a proactive, professional demeanor in the face of rapid change and organizational shifts and growth.
- Extremely organized and enjoys ideation, planning, roadmapping, and creating path forward, even if out of communications scope
- Brings an acute sense of what mattress most in a given situation and is able to balance speed and quality in all things Â
