About the team:

Core Product (CP) is a distributed organization responsible for the eBay buyer and seller experiences. We define and develop the listing, promoting, shopping and purchasing capabilities of our global marketplace. Within Core Product we are passionate about improving the customer experience, product quality and product management excellence.

About the role:

As a Mobile Developer for our Product Essentials Initiative, you will provide a common way for users to provide feedback or ask for help in context. This will lead to higher fidelity, more useful bug reports. You will design and develop these new capabilities on the eBay iOS platform.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in designing, building, refactoring and releasing native apps.
• Proven expertise with native iOS app development including Objective-C, Swift and Xcode.
• Able to own a feature of an iOS application and develop it fully.
• Experience with TDD, pairing, code reviews, and other techniques to maintain high-quality code and resiliency.
• Proven working knowledge of mobile application design considerations and mobile UX patterns.
• Passion for building remarkable experiences in mobile applications.
• Strong communication, with the ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical audience, and to translate customer requirements to technical designs.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams.

Job Functions:

You will be a member of our product tools team, driving customer experience improvement and product quality.

• Work closely with other Core Product domains on feature and architecture implementation.
• Partner with backend engineering teams to define end-to-end architecture for our features.
• Evaluate and integrate 3rd party libraries, and support "build vs. buy" decisioning.
• We follow agile practices and focus on continual improvement in our practices, driven from the ground up. We expect you to advocate for improvements in code and culture, and to support your colleagues in the same.
• Work well with team members and other teams, dividing up workload appropriately.
• Partner and collaborate with other organizations throughout eBay.
