Job Description

Position Summary:

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for IT systems and applications. The role requires an understanding of business processes and the ability to document technical specifications and business process flows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and translate them into technical specifications for IT systems and applications.

2. Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement by conducting gap analysis and root cause analysis.

3. Assist in developing project plans and timelines for IT projects under the supervision of the Senior IT Business Analyst.

4. Work closely with development teams to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements and participate in testing to ensure proper functionality and usability.

5. Develop and maintain documentation related to IT systems and applications, such as business process flows, technical specifications, and user manuals.

6. Provide ongoing support for IT systems and applications to ensure they meet business needs.

7. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and maintain awareness of potential risks and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 1 year of experience in IT system design, development, and implementation or technical writing

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data, and a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
