The Opportunity

The BA plays a critical role on BTS Quality Regulatory and Engineering Systems team acting in a dual role as Business Analyst and Project Manager.

The BA is actively engaged with the Team by representing; advocating and shepherding the many customer voices; ensuring that the products we deliver meet the diverse and competing needs of our customers (internal and external); understanding and identifying opportunities, flows, and issues with discussions and interactions within the entire project team.

This is a dynamic role helps ensure requirements accurately reflect business process needs, and that solutions perform as expected to support those needs. The Business Analyst will frequently facilitate discussions between business process owners, stakeholders, and solution providers (internal and external) to ensure complete and accurate requirement scope and effective solution design. As such, the role requires excellent communication and facilitation skills and the ability to work both independently and with a variety of others.

Leads department level initiatives or provides assistance to Program or Project managers on phases of a larger project.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Primary liaison between the IT and business area.
• Define and document project requirements
• Applies IT and business knowledge and experience to formulate business requirements to solve for a business problem.
• Provides Tier 2 system support to end users and administrators to resolve business and technical problems
• Identifies trends and recommends proactive solutions to recurring issues
• Works with clients on activities of moderate complexity; consults with clients and senior IT personnel to develop and understand the business case and business requirements to solve for technology related business problems.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Performs work using existing standards, methodologies and processes and understands other systems/business processes relationship to each other.
• Partners with Corporate service providers to investigate alternatives, which use existing applications.
• May assist in preparing, developing and conducting clients and systems training.
• Completes project tasks within time and budget constraints.
• Identifies and implements process improvements.
• Adheres to established policies.
• Maintains productive relationships with peers and management in IT and the business function.
• Independently conceives and develops general approaches to develop business requirements and business case. Exercises latitude in approach to problem and solution.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of experience and education
• 2-4 years of experience
• Strong business analyst and organizational skills
• Ability to drive requirements and project work through to closure
• Strong interdisciplinary, and excellent intercultural influence, and networking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong MS Offices skills
• Software Life Cycle (SLC) and/or validation experience highly preferred
