IT Manager - Data Enablement (Remote)

What is Your Impact:

The IT Manager is accountable for communicating, planning and providing leadership for Data Integration Services. IT Managers provide direction to project and functional resources within and outside their reporting structure, gather, support and develop the resources needed to execute the plan, champion the tactical direction of work and remove barriers within their sphere of influence. The IT Manager leads cross function initiatives, projects and discussions and is relied upon to anticipate and mitigate cross functional issues, including (not limited to) cloud-based architecture and design, SQL Server, etc. The IT Manager is accountable for providing thorough subject area expertise within the Data Enablement Team. The IT Manager is accountable for performance management and salary administration for their team as well as assisting with career development planning, coaching, training and teambuilding.

What will You do:

• Provides subject-matter-expertise and management within Data Integration Services.
• Proactively identifies, implements and manages process improvements and agile solutions within data integration services.
• Leads cross-functional discussions/initiatives to anticipate and mitigate issues and achieve required outcomes within required timeframes.
• Sets, articulates and oversees achievement of goals for assigned work-unit/sub-unit/function.
• Direct oversight of staff, tactical execution and implementation of operational plans.
• Provides thorough subject matter expertise within data integration services and makes recommendations senior leadership to contribute to IT strategy.
• Prepares thorough and articulate executive summaries for senior leadership.
• Participates in ad hoc workgroups supporting IT strategy.
• Influences, interacts and makes decisions impacting across data integration services disciplines, capabilities, services, technologies, domains or systems.
• Collaborates decisions with senior IT leadership.
• Ensures adherence to practices, procedures, precedents, policy and senior leadership direction.
• Tracks and ensures that expenses fall within budget.
• Support team with production support, off business hours

What is Required:

• 3+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education. Experience Details: Direct people management
• 3+ years direct supervisory/management experience
• Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field
• Prior Experience and deep understanding of data, database design, and enabling business through the delivery of data solutions
• Strong background in leading a diverse technical team that supports critical business processes
• Subject matter expertise in Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI and Tableau
• Subject matter expertise with RDBMS and specifically SQL Server

What is Preferred:

• Prior Experience and deep understanding of coding practices with in-database processing (stored procedures, UDF, indexing, etc.)
• Deep understanding of a modern data architecture Add to Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior Experience and understanding of healthcare data which includes healthcare plans such as Commercial and Medicare health plans
• Prior Experience and understanding of cloud-based architecture and design
• Working experience with Data Bricks, Data Factory, Azure Synapse
• Healthcare and/or Guidewell experience

General Physical Demands
