As an IT Sr Manager of Compute at Micron you will be responsible for owning the on-premise Corporate Windows Unix and Virtual Infrastructure as well as leading the global Compute technology standards.
You will partner with the IT worldwide counterparts architects and program/project managers to build strategic and operational objectives to ensure adherence to service and operational level agreements. You will serve as a conduit for demand and resource management balancing people and budgets towards desired outcomes. You are responsible for business and regulatory compliance activities for the services worldwide.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day project oversight execution and operational leadership.
  • Deliver technology vision strategy and direction for supported services.
  • Maintain OLA and SLA agreements with Micron Business Units and ensure alignment.
  • Sustain strong global collaboration with internal and external Micron IT operations teams.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architects to develop and carry out capability roadmaps.
  • Drive service improvements by reviewing contracts vendor offerings upgrades quotes and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Lead continuous improvement through policies and processes for monitoring measurement reporting and improving service/component availability.
  • Lead all aspects of budget and cost centers manage talent development (mentoring coaching succession planning retention) and support <10>

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of leadership experience leading on-premise Enterprise Hardware Compute teams.
  • Hands-on technical background across Unix Windows VMware and enterprise hardware compute systems.
  • 10 years of experience building and leading geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels with sophisticated knowledge of ITIL subject areas.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting AI/GPU or high-performance compute environments.
  • Strong vendor management experience including ELAs and strategic supplier negotiations.
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder leadership skills
  • Familiarity with automation self-service and event-driven infrastructure operations.
