The IT Engineering team is looking for a Systems Engineer to help us with the day-to-day management, operation, and project work for the cloud based IT systems and services we rely on. Our ideal candidate is experienced with modern IT cloud/ SAAS tools, has a natural instinct to automate repetitive tasks, and enjoys deploying new tools and helping to improve current systems. You'll not only be tasked with curating an “It Just Works” environment, but to learn, grow and help others along their journey as well.
YOUR IMPACT- Support Active Directory , Okta SSO & Device Trust implementations, build Okta workflows & improve employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Provide administration and support for critical tools including: Google Workspace, Okta, Slack Grid, Jira, and Github
- Automate manual tasks related to provisioning, configuration management and operations in AWS Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, Workspaces) & Enterprise Mac / Windows client devices
- Automate patch management and package management for 3rd party and enterprise applications on AWS Cloud Compute and client devices
- Collaborate with the security team in implementing security & legal best practices
- Partner with operations team in troubleshooting, driving operational excellence, gather & report patch status, backup status, configuration status & health status across our IT Services
- Prioritize user experience, focus on task automation, work with developers and business groups to ensure we meet the application compatibility & performance needs of client devices in offices and remotely
Must Have:
- 3+ years experience administering modern SaaS tools: Okta, Okta Device Trust, Slack Grid, Google Workspace, Github, etc.
- 3+ years experience administering client endpoints in a corporate environments with 1000+ users using Jamf & Intune.
- 2+ years of experience in systems engineering automation using Python , Go or other programming languages.
- You have a devops mindset and approach tasks analytically, engineer elegant and simple to use solutions.
- You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to executives, support, and other engineers is no problem for you.
- You are motivated by helping others succeed. When things break - and they will - you are eager and able to help fix things. You like thinking of ways to improve efficiency or bring delight to the people you work with.
- You have curiosity about how things work.
Nice to Have:
- Okta workflows, Okta Identity Engine, Automox
- Experience deploying and managing configurations of IaaS (Windows / Linux Servers), PaaS & Workspaces components in AWS using tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
