The Opportunity

This position works out of any USA Abbott location, preferably at our Abbott Park, Waukegan, IL location in the Global Information Systems division

As the ITSM Discovery Administrator, you'll have the chance to work as part of Abbott's core ServiceNow platform team. The team is a dynamic, high pace, large team environment supporting a large-scale global ServiceNow implementation. The desired candidate will ensure continued growth of Abbott's ServiceNow ITOM Discovery implementation using available tools to ensure successful Discovery scans and CMDB population while expanding the scope of what can be Discovered.

Basic Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree required
• 5+ years' experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in a global enterprise environment
• Experience in ITOM Discovery
  • How Patterns & Probes are leveraged
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow's ITOM Discovery best practices
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, including PowerShell or Bash
• Experience and understanding of IP Networking
• Understanding various technology administration, such as Servers and network gear for successful ServiceNow Discovery
• Demonstrate how to operationalize day to day effective ITOM Discovery configurations
  • Review and maintain effective ITOM Schedules
  • Review and maintain technology specific OIDs
  • Use existing dashboards or develop new dashboards required to ensure a stable ServiceNow ITOM Discovery environment
  • Troubleshooting issues
• Understanding of ServiceNow ITOM Discovery in the different Cloud base platforms
• Comfortable install, configuring and clustering Mid Server software

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills
• Familiar of the Agile methodology and software development
• Work comfortability conducting workshops or meetings as needed with business stakeholders to gain desired outcomes.
• Familiar with CMDB and CSDM for future expansion to Service Mapping.
• Familiar with Service Graph based integrations.
• Familiar with CMDB Identification & Recognition Engine.

The base pay for this position is

$71,300.00 - $142,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
