We have an exciting opportunity for a remote junior JAVA Developer to assist with the coding for back-end API!. You will participate in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle by supporting existing software development efforts and solving issues as they occur while also developing new software code across multiple small to medium projects concurrently. We’re looking for a team member with a passion to learn new technologies and the ability to produce in a technology-driven environment.

**This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States. We are not considering applicants located in PST, but are open to candidates in EST, CST, and MST time zones. Will be required to work EST hours**

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices.

• Integrate data from various backend services and databases.

• Collaborate with technical/business leaders and product owners to acquire and understand requirements / acceptance criteria.

• Develop, maintain, test, analyze performance, troubleshoot / fix applications and applicable code.

• Triage production issues and work with multiple teams to perform problem analysis.

• Support mission critical applications and assist in the resolution of customer issues.

• Ability to read and interpret requirements and translate them into test-driven code.

• Candidates must be willing to participate in an on-call support rotation, providing after-hours and weekend support as needed. This responsibility will be shared among team members on a rotating schedule to ensure continuous system availability and prompt issue resolution.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1-3 years plus of proven working experience as a back-end developer.

• Understanding and practical experience with JAVA is a requirement.

• Experience with jMeter for performance and load testing is preferred.

• Knowledge of NoSQL and Relational database management, and best development practices.

• Experience with an OOP language, or API-based services (REST-based).

• Experience/Knowledge with Azure Kubernetes.

• Experience with code repositories (GitHub or BitBucket preferred).

• Creative problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse software technologies and techniques.
