JIRA Administrator

The JIRA Administrator will administer, manage, and coordinate changes in JIRA Data Center and JIRA Cloud. This role is responsible for understanding current implementations, identifying gaps, and gathering requirements to develop custom processes to meet each teams needs and areas of improvement. Additionally, this role will be in charge of auditing the system and putting best practices in place. This person would be required to be hands on and able to jump in to troubleshoot problems and be able to collaborate and communicate with teams effectively.

Essential Job Functions:

· Provide administrative support to users and teams.

· Manage user access and permissions.

· Troubleshoot and resolve JIRA issues reported by users.

· Develop and maintain customizations across JIRA Projects, Boards, Reports, etc.

· Develop and maintain custom automation rules and scripts.

· Maintain and evaluate current and potential Plugins (Xray, ScriptRunner, eazyBI,etc.).

· Implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability. Including evaluating and maintaing JIRA versions keeping them up to date and making sure our system integrations are compatible.

· Document best practices, training guides, and evaluate the current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.

· Work directly with our Project Management group to understand current and new company standards using JIRA.

Requirements

Required Experience:

· 5+ years of JIRA Administrator experience.

Preferred Experience:

· JIRA Administrator certification.

· Experience in both JIRA Data Center and Cloud.

· Experience migrating from JIRA Data Center to Cloud.

Education: 

· Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years applicable experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

· Knowledge and experience customizing JIRA projects with reports, custom fields, complex workflows, screen schemes, permissions schemes, etc.

· Knowledge and experience working with software development.

· Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language).

· Experience working in an Agile environment and team structure.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements: Open to Remote

Work Conditions: Some positions may require weekend and evening hours. May require travel.
