The Opportunity

This position works out of our Waukegan, IL location in the Digital Technology Services team which is responsible for a portfolio of over 300 websites across different businesses at Abbott.

As the Junior Fullstack Developer, you'll have the chance to assist in the development, implementation and management of technology-based business solutions to improve our business needs. You will be coding, testing and implementing configuration changes and assisting in the design of software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements.

What You'll Work On

• Learn the codebase for different AEM sites
• Learn the Analytics setup for different websites
• Work on minor enhancements
• Troubleshoot and work on small bug fixes
• Participate in paired development with mid-level and senior team members
• Attend and contribute to development team meetings
• Conduct unit tests and assist with SLC documentation

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline
• Good knowledge about object-oriented programming and commonly used programming languages: Java, J2EE Servlet/JSP, XML
• Familiarity with development of RESTful Web Services
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Experience with unit testing using JUnit
• Strong capability to identify requirements and define technical solutions

The base pay for this position is

$46,700.00 - $93,300.00
