Jr. FOIA Analyst

TechOp Solutions International is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior FOIA Analyst to join our team at the department of Homeland Security (DHS). We are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our government clients by navigating Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in processing FOIA and Privacy Act requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Manage data entry and maintain records related to FOIA inquiries.
• Prepare and upload correspondence to the FOIA tracking system.
• Review documents for requested information and redact sensitive content as necessary.
• Communicate with internal teams and external agencies to provide status updates on FOIA requests.
• Conduct research to support FOIA policy development and ensure regulatory compliance.

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 2 years of work experience.
• At least 6 months of experience working with FOIA processing or related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with FOIA tracking software is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to contract obligations.
• Ability to meet security clearance requirements.
