Job Description

First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for a Jr. Graphic Designer responsible for designing and creating visually appealing print and digital marketing materials for all platforms that accurately reflect our branding guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of fundamental design standards for web and print that affect typography, composition, color, use of space, balance, and hierarchy of information. This is an entry level role that will work closely to support our Senior Graphic Designer and marketing leaders.

 

This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity reporting to the VP, Marketing and Business Development and is based in Hollywood, CA. The minimum and maximum hourly base range for this position is $25.73 to $38.60 in California. The target starting hourly rate is between $25.73 and $32.17.

 

Responsibilities


- Create and design layouts for emails, digital ads, print ads, postcards, brochures, annual reports, signage, PowerPoint presentations, promotional materials, web banners, social media assets, and more from established templates and sometimes creates from scratch, ensuring that all files meet the specifications provided.

· Assist in the implementation of First Entertainment brand and graphic standards across all marketing materials, including adherence to regulatory guidelines. Develop concepts for new designs and implements graphics and content, on-time and within budget.

· Assist in expanding a library of accurate templates for all materials going forward. Identify design trends and recommends updates to brand guidelines to help First Entertainment reach best-in-class.

· Proactively complete requests for design support from the project list, helpdesk tickets, and marketing calendar by effectively prioritizing projects to ensure all materials are completed expeditiously and on-time.

· Assist in reviewing all print and digital materials created by stakeholders, partners, vendors, other departments, and marketing team members for brand consistency and accuracy.

· Assist with the preparation and coordination of print projects,includingverificationofcolorsandmaterialstoensuremarketingpiecesare high quality.

· Curate a library of stock photography and teammate provided images that are within brand guidelines. Assists in image retouching, color correction and manipulation. Participate in company photo and/or video shoots to create a library for use in credit union marketing materials.

· Assist in weekly maintenance of the marketing storefront and branch digital displays, including periodic branch visits.

· Participate in projects or perform other duties, as needed.

Requirements

 

· College graduate with a graphic design degree or close equivalent.

· One (1) to three (3) years of work-related experience, preferably with a full-service financial institution or entertainment-related field.

· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).

· Adept at video editing (Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro).

· Ability to work in WordPress, HTML and CSS is a plus.

· Knowledge of sales and marketing for showing, promotion, and selling products or services.

· Stellar communication skills both verbally and written to convey information effectively.
