Simple Technology Solutions is looking for a Jr. IT Business Analyst to add to our team.

Quick Position Overview:

The Role:

We are currently seeking a Junior IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting contracts by delivering daily, monthly, and yearly deliverables as required by our clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting engaging meetings with key stakeholders, gathering project requirements, and actively participating in agile processes, including scrum events and related activities.

The Jr. IT Business Analyst  at STS will:

  • Produce deliverables based on daily, monthly, and yearly requirements, adjusting as necessary for client needs.
  • Engage with key stakeholders through effective meetings to understand and gather project requirements.
  • Utilize an agile approach, actively participating in scrum events and related activities.
  • Identify requirements through stakeholder interviews and lead/facilitate requirements sessions.
  • Document stakeholders’ business and system requirements, decomposing those needs into actionable software requirements in the form of user stories.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and SCRUM team in technical design meetings, sprint planning, and product backlog refinement meetings.
  • Create test criteria and scenarios for Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that deliverables meet client acceptance criteria.
  • Generate technical documentation, including Internal SOPs, System User Guides, Release Notes, and Test Reports.
  • Conduct end-user training to ensure efficient utilization of the system.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback through sprint review meetings.
  • Lead sprint retrospective meetings for continuous evaluation of team dynamics, processes, and tools, identifying potential improvements.
  • Conduct system analysis and create process maps for current and future business process flows and context diagrams.

Education and Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile Processes.
  • US Citizen for Government Contractors.
  • Must be able to work the hours of 8am-5pm Eastern Time regardless of your home location 

Preferred Certifications

  • Scrum Master Certification is preferred but not required.
