Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil/bridge construction projects. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on project management experience while working alongside senior engineers and project managers.
The successful candidate will assist with project planning, technical coordination, scheduling, documentation, and communication between internal teams, consultants, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects.
- Support the preparation and review of project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Assist with technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Monitor project progress and track deliverables, timelines, and costs.
- Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, and status updates.
- Support procurement activities including RFQs, vendor coordination, and subcontractor communication.
- Help ensure projects comply with engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in site visits and inspections when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- 1–3 years of engineering or project coordination experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and project management fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, scheduling software, or project management systems.
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Compensation
$70,000 – $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
