We are seeking a Key Account Manager to drive strategic growth across high-volume practices, academic systems, and large group networks in the DMV territory and surrounding states. In this role, you will develop and execute account-level strategies, build trusted relationships with senior institutional stakeholders, and influence adoption of innovative therapies. You will collaborate cross-functionally to align initiatives, share best practices, and support education programs, ensuring measurable impact across accounts. This position offers a highly visible role where you can shape treatment pathways, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to organizational growth while working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment. Frequent travel within the territory will allow for direct engagement with key decision-makers.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans for high-value practices, hospitals, and academic institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior institutional stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, medical directors, and clinical influencers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored educational programs, peer-led initiatives, and compliant messaging aligned with institutional goals.
- Identify and leverage institutional success stories to inform broader strategy and drive adoption across networks.
- Partner with internal teams to align institutional strategy with local pull-through efforts, including EMR integration and payer access initiatives.
- Track account-level outcomes, replicate best practices across large group practices, and represent the organization at regional and national conferences.
- Travel 60–70% for field visits, institutional engagements, and strategic meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in institutional or Key Account sales, with 3+ years in field-based account management.
- Proven track record in pharmaceutical or specialty sales calling on hospitals, IDNs, or large practice networks.
- Strong understanding of allergy or therapeutic areas preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead account planning, influence treatment pathways, and engage senior executives.
- Familiarity with EMR protocols, payer dynamics, and multi-state decision-making processes.
- Excellent strategic planning, communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
