As a Launch Manager for the Technical Audience Programs PMO (Project Management Office) team in W orldwide Learning (WWL) , you will build and execute the launch management plan that enable s updates to our portfolio of technical training related programs. These include the Enterprise Skills Initiative and Future Skills Initiative. This role will allow you to combine your passions for project planning , program management, and technology to drive learning across a wide range of audiences for Azure, Security , Dynamics, Power Platform, and more !

This role is specifically focused on helping improve our Technical Skilling Programs by providing the project management i nfrastructure to make enhancements using the WWL project management process . The PMO team manages planning and execution, program operations, governance, communications, plan of record management, and role readiness.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
  • Planning and Execution: develops project launch plans and workback plan to be executed through the Worldwide Learning project management framework (PEARL - Program Execution and Release Lifecycle). Considers project launch inputs, risks/dependencies, coordinates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful execution against the planned launch deliverables. Tracks and manages project progress in Azure DevOps.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: evaluates and raises risks of the project/launch plans. Collaborates with v-teams to make mitigation plan recommendations. Communicates risks and mitigation plans to internal and extended stakeholders. Documents risks in Azure DevOps.
  • Partner with Change Management team: to ensure readiness, training, and communication plans are built and executed to ensure a successful launch
  • Post launch: Lead quarterly retrospectives once a project has launched and document lessons learned and future project planning updates
  • Skilling program feedback tooling & process: tooling input management, backlog & triaging process management for each team (ESI, FSI, Platform)
  • Manage & govern PEARL structure within Azure DevOps for Technical Audience Program team. Build and coordinate Azure DevOps readiness and training for team. Partner with WWL project management framework team (PEARL) v-team on WWL Azure DevOps enhancements
  • Own and manage key components of PEARL process for TAP: Manage "Go/No Go" meetings for projects launching. Collect feedback, help iterate on the process to make proposals to enhance the PEARL process.
Qualifications Qualifications :
  • 3-5 years project and/or program management experience
  • Experience working in Azure Dev O ps as a project tracking tool
  • Bachelor's d egree or relevant work experience required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus but not required
  • Broad understanding of Microsoft cloud products, learning systems, and relevant data protection policies
  • Excellent project manager, communicator , and collaborator
  • Self-starter with proven success taking ownership of programs and projects
The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $108,200 and $162,200.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
