Job Description
Lead Business Intelligence Analyst at Ask Media Group, LLC:
Guide analytics projects’ testing efforts from beginning to end. Coordinate with other team members as well as departmental representatives to ensure analytics projects proceed as planned. Duties include:
- Define requirements for AMG’s analytics projects, including goals, KPIs, and timelines, to ensure testing/analytical success; based on requirements, select data that is best suited to address the business’ question;
- Conduct formal statistical analysis using methods, such as t-tests, ANOVAs, multivariate analysis, and regression, as well as using statistical best practices, including outlier removal, assumptions verification, and normality checks;
- When formal statistical analysis is not possible, utilize best practices for trend analysis, ensuring that results delivered are supplemented with knowledge of marketing trends and historical data patterns;
- Build aggregated table and code visualization using analytics best practices;
- Utilize SQL, Python, R, and data visualization software (i.e., Looker) to present analytical findings in a way that is specifically catered to the business question;
- Create summary dashboards and reports for business stakeholders that address key elements of the analysis, takeaways, and follow-ups; and
- Suggest new tools and resources that could aid the analytics team in improving their output.
May telecommute from any US location.
Minimum Requirements:
A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a closely related field plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst-related occupation.
In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a closely related field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst-related occupation.
Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:
1) 2 years of experience in web and marketing analytics;
2) 2 years of experience guiding analytics projects from goals, KPIs, and timelines, to selecting data that is best suited to address the business’ questions;
3) 2 years of experience with statistical and A/B testing;
4) 2 years of experience in data visualization;
5) 2 years of experience mentoring and guiding junior team members;
6) 2 years of experience using SQL and Tableau to present analytical findings;
7) 2 years of experience summarizing complex testing results to diverse set of stakeholders.
Job site: 1955 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612. Full-time. Salary: $180,000 - $200,000.
