Job Description

Team: Design

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Content Designer in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, product design, and emerging AI-driven experiences within digital healthcare. You will shape how users interact with complex, high-impact health products through clear, empathetic, and system-level content design. Acting as both a hands-on practitioner and strategic leader, you will define content direction across major product areas while influencing product decisions through language, structure, and conversation design. A key focus is the design of AI-powered and conversational experiences, ensuring that interactions with virtual assistants are safe, accurate, and human-centered. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, clinical, and AI teams to bring clarity and trust to regulated healthcare experiences. This is a highly influential role where content design directly impacts user health outcomes and product effectiveness.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead content strategy across major product areas, aligning user needs with business, product, and clinical objectives.
  • Define and evolve content standards, voice and tone systems, and scalable content design frameworks across the organization.
  • Design and lead conversation flows for AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants, including intents, dialogue structures, error handling, and escalation paths.
  • Partner with AI, clinical, legal, and engineering teams to develop safe and effective generative AI communication frameworks for regulated healthcare environments.
  • Establish governance models for AI-generated content, including evaluation criteria, quality standards, and feedback loops with product and model teams.
  • Plan and craft UX copy for complex mobile and web experiences, including high-stakes healthcare user journeys.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops, influencing product direction through content-driven insights and storytelling.
  • Apply user research, usability findings, and product analytics to inform content strategy and improve product outcomes.
  • Collaborate in Figma and contribute to the evolution of shared content design systems.
  • Mentor and support content designers while contributing to hiring and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.

  • Requirements:

    • 8–10 years of experience in content design, UX writing, or related disciplines.
    • Strong experience in digital health, wellness, or similarly complex regulated environments is preferred.
    • Proven expertise in conversation design, including writing dialogue flows, intents, responses, and system behaviors for AI or chatbot experiences.
    • Working knowledge of generative AI and large language models, including prompt design, output evaluation, and awareness of risks in regulated contexts.
    • Experience collaborating with conversational AI platforms and integrating content design into AI system workflows.
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX writing, content strategy, and system-level thinking across complex products.
    • Deep understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards, and information architecture.
    • Proficiency with Figma and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
    • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in fast-moving environments.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary ranging from $135,000 to $165,000.
      • Performance-based bonus eligibility.
      • Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare coverage and wellness support programs.
      • Flexible Vacation Policy supporting rest and personal time.
      • 80 hours of paid sick, safe, and caregiver leave annually (full-time employees).
      • Inclusive, innovation-driven work culture focused on collaboration and impact.
      • Opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and career advancement.
      • Remote-friendly and flexible work arrangements depending on role requirements.
