Lead Data Engineer - Remote US

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer with a proven track record of dealing with data acquisition and accuracy for very large data sets. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing data quality control measures. • Develop and maintain data pipelines, including data acquisition, transformation, and loading processes.
• Identify new opportunities for data acquisition from existing and new data sources.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data, and implement data quality control measures to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions that meet those requirements.
• Lead a team of engineers to develop and maintain data processing systems.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies and procedures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage projects and prioritize tasks based on business needs.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data acquisition and accuracy.
• Strong experience with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data processing and storage platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience leading teams of data engineers and managing projects.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
