The Lead Data Scientist will manage the model creation process from start to finish, for the purpose of predicting Malicious Customer Intent (MCI). The models we create help our customers to predict and predict financial fraud using financial data.

What You'll Bring:• Graduate-level degree preferred with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, operations research, computer science or aligned discipline.• 3-7 years practical experience working as a data scientist applying machine learning to real-world problems• Great communication skills to articulate technical aspect of model development to internal and external customers• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Classification, Regression, Clustering, Feature Engineering, Decision Trees, Gradient Boosting etc• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Python, Anaconda, TensorFlow, SQL, Scikit-learn, Keras• Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL• Strong familiarity with concepts in applied statistics, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, regulation• Logical, evidence-based problem solving and critical thinking skills.• Team focus and evidence of supporting project team members.
Preferred:• Exposure to credit or financial modeling• Working familiarity with cloud computing environments.
Impact You'll Make:• Utilizes statistical and machine learning techniques to create high-performing models that comply with regulatory and privacy requirements and address business objectives and client needs.• Researches and develops new approaches, keeping up to date with the state of the art. Tests new statistical analysis methods, software and data sources for continual improvement of quantitative solutions. Implements as needed.• Processes, cleans, and verifies the integrity of data used for analysis• Performs ad-hoc analysis and presents results clearly• Communicates results and ideas to key decision makers• Creates clear and easy to understand documents for models.• Presents analysis ideas, progress reports and results to internal and external customers• Collaborates with team members to develop technical/business approaches and new or enhanced technical tools. Participates in collaborations for implementation.• Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.• Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
