In 2019, Zach Bell created a no-code website over a long weekend to make his house available at cost to a small circle of friends. That site ended up on the cover of the travel section of NYT during a global pandemic and was called the Raya of Homesharing.

We realized that many more people would make their houses available to their friends if they didn't have to offer them as public rentals. By connecting friend and communities MyPlace enables sharing that wouldn't otherwise happen in public markets.

Our team of leaders in community and technology have been building global, high impact, online and offline communities and tech products for decades. Co-Founder & CTO Rameet Chawla is MyPlace's user number 2 and leads a top notch, lean technology team.

At MyPlace, you'll be joining a globally distributed fully remote team of entrepreneurs and industry experts who have successfully built and launched multiple companies and products over the years. Slack is home, Zoom is our living room, having strong Wi Fi is a necessity.

As a product designer, you will be working closely with the marketplace founders and development team to take nuanced problems, and create elegant solutions.

Requirements

Lead iOS Developer

You are an experienced iOS developer with a strong background working with Objective-C, and some leadership experience. You will lead the development of our first iOS App, embodying MyPlace's commitment to building excellent products, and must understand mobile development at an experienced level. You will love working with a team of highly skilled people, whether they are in the office next to you or working remotely. As a member of the MyPlace team you must be inspired by technology and have a passion for creating innovative technical solutions.

This is a complex product. Our ideal candidate has experience with relational databases, social networks.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of experience developing iOS apps.
• Experience leading teams (iOS teams desired) and working with Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred)
• Proficient in Objective-C and any other Object Oriented Programming Languages (C++, Java, Smalltalk, etc, etc)
• Working knowledge of compiler settings, UIKit, CoreAnimations, Instruments,
• Advanced Core Date knowledge and advanced understanding of GCD (Grand Central Dispatch) and when to use it
• Experience using open source frameworks such as RestKit and using version control repositories, such as Git.
• Must know most of the common Designs Patterns (Gang of Four), or at least the ones used on Objective-C.
• Experience with Continuous Integration (Jenkins, TeamCity, others) and OTA (TestFlight, HockeyApp, etc etc…)
• Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges
• Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient
