Job Purpose: We are looking for a talented Staff Product Designer to join our team. You will be a member of a cross-functional design, product, and engineering team as well as the larger Product Design & Creative team. 

The ideal candidate for this role will be a design lead capable of guiding design decisions across the Product, Design, and Engineering organizations that support our users, business, and underlying technology. You’re an expert at your craft and able to create scalable design solutions across platforms, from iOS to Android to responsive web applications. Achieving this goal requires close collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders throughout the organization from conception to smooth roll-outs. Most of all, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team that enjoys solving big problems together.

Tasks and Responsibilities 

• Act as a cross-functional design lead and an expert in your craft, collaborating with other designers and engineers to evolve and refine our design system and platform experience while ensuring visual and brand cohesion across all user touch-points 
• Lead improvements in design standards, processes, tools and operational frameworks to support a continuous improvement approach and drive impact at scale
• Define and measure design quality within our systems and help create a set of defined UX and ops metrics to apply to our work 
• Influence teams to understand complex product and operational nuances, identifying opportunities to improve LTK’s platform experience and connecting technologies
• Cultivate a culture of design excellence and education, evangelizing the value of the LTK design system and providing the necessary skills training and educational workshops
• Design and prototype elegant, scalable design patterns and components for web and mobile apps that meet user needs, investigate near-future opportunities, and help grow our global business 
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface documentation of our LTK design system and processes of how to contribute to it and maintain it
• Work within brand guidelines to create platform experiences that reinforce our brand’s identity, style and voice
• Collaborate with engineering to build out a designer and developer style guide
• Serve as the voice of the customer and act as a customer experience advocate when considering design decisions that will impact both our users and business across our platform
• Embrace data, quantitative, and qualitative user research to help inform design decisions
• Able to communicate design decisions that lead to high business impact when presenting to stakeholders and collaborating with product and engineering partners
• Passionate about mentorship to junior members of the design team with aspirations to manage a team as we scale

Skills and Requirements 

• 7+ years of experience designing digital products and leading multi-disciplinary UX teams in building out design systems and driving operational efficiencies 
• Degree in Visual Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Motion, Architecture, Urban Planning, Graphic Design, HCI, or related field of study (or work experience in lieu of degree)
• Deep expertise of design systems and patterns, while also staying aware of technological feasibility
• Amazing portfolio of design work outlining both process and final design solutions, showcasing past projects that demonstrate your passion and knowledge of design systems and designing for multi-platform experiences
• A strong command of contemporary design tools such as Figma
• A solid design foundation and aesthetic delivering designs/documents that are simple, informative, and filled with craftsmanship and strong attention of detail 
• Embraces the design thinking process to solve problems 
• Experience with user research such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing
• Business know-how: Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic agile environment
• Respectful when challenging assumptions and give and receive feedback with equal grace
• Estimate work, commit and deliver on deadlines and are vocal when risk arises
• Team player that enjoys collaborating cross functionally and working with a great group of designers, who genuinely care about design and each other
