About the job:

As a Lead Product Manager, Data on our Product Management team, you’ll work with our data engineering team to build out the data infrastructure for our Innovation Platform. You will play a crucial role in gathering and synthesizing requirements from stakeholders, prioritizing features, and ensuring effective communication throughout the development process. This role requires a technical background, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What you will do:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to gather and synthesize requirements, and translate them into actionable product features that align with the overall data strategy
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and meetings to understand business needs and challenges, and effectively capture and document requirements
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, technical feasibility, and resource availability, and communicate the rationale and feature set to stakeholders
  • Work with the development team to define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the development process
  • Provide guidance and support to the development team during the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management
What you will need:
  • You have a bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • You have 6+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data infrastructure and data engineering
What you will bring to the table:
  • You have a technical background and understanding of data management concepts, including data lakes, ETL processes, data modeling, data warehousing and data APIs. You may have been a data engineer in your past.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to gather and synthesize requirements from stakeholders, and effectively communicate prioritization decisions
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • You have experience with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
  • You have familiarity with data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations

Full-time base salary range of $175,000 plus a competitive equity & benefits package listed under the "Why work with us?" section.
