As a Lead QBO Accountant you will:

  • Lead the team of 2 QBO Accountants, enhance team performance, guide the team, and provide support in their day-to-day responsibilities;
  • Oversee an accounting department to ensure optimal work efficiency;
  • Organize company accounts to ensure that they are consistent with business purposes and US accounting rules in QBO, including monthly reconciliation and 1099 preparation;
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures;
  • Lead and manage timely month-end and year-end closing;
  • Oversee payroll processing and reporting;
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and other reports in QBO;
  • Manage the document workflow within the company;
  • Contribute to the automation and optimization of workflow processes;
  • Assist and participate in audit;
  • Provide support to the company’s management and other departments on financial matters.

You will definitely be successful in this role if you:

  • Possess a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field;
  • Have 4+ years of practical experience as an accountant, demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting practices;
  • Have at least 1,5-2 years of experience as a Chief Accountant/Lead Accountant/Head of Accounting, including team management experience;
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
  • Know QuickBooks Online an advanced user, with a comprehensive understanding of its features and functionalities;
  • Are proficient in English (C1-C2), particularly in the context of bookkeeping documentation and written correspondence with customers and vendors and Fluent Ukrainian;
  • Convey effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration with clients, team members, and other managers;
  • Have keen attention to detail for accurate and error-free data entry;
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills to systematically manage and maintain financial records.
