As a Risk Operations Lead, you will play a critical role in identifying incoming fraud attacks, providing insight on fraud trends, and handling inquiries relating to our fraud decisioning systems. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Risk Operations team as well as some production work will be required when needed. The Lead is instrumental in ensuring the team achieves overall business objectives including productivity, accuracy and ensuring that our company and customers are safe from bad actors.
What You'll Do:

• Lead a team of Risk Operations Investigators in a fast paced environment which includes preparing the team on new fraud trends, incoming fraud attacks, and any changes to procedures/policy
• Ensure that SLAs are met consistently and identify core issues when the team fails to meet SLAs
• Delegate and prioritize effectively to ensure the team is focused on high-impact needs and allocating time appropriately between project and core work
• Mentor, guide, and manage direct reports on fraud best practices and career development
• Research and resolve risk events stemming from process breakdowns
• Provide research support on a variety of investigations

What We Look For:

• 1+ years of experience in fraud management or related people management roles
• 3+ years of direct experience in fraud risk prevention and detection (within FinTech/tech industry is a plus)
• Working knowledge of scripting & querying languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus
• Ability to maintain composure and act as a role model when presented with barriers or when results are not as expected
• Self-starter with strong sense of urgency, high accountability and excellent attention to detail with the capability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
