The Impact of Lead Security Architect on Coupa and its Customers:
As our Lead Security Architect, you will substantially impact the security and resilience of every aspect of our product. As part of the Cloud Operations' Security Engineering Team, you will help to protect our customer data from cyber attacks to ensure Coupa retains our customer's trust 24 x 7. You will have the opportunity to be a part of a tight-knit organization working with smart, helpful engineers, particularly within our DevOps, platform, support, sales, and security teams. You will be the keeper of a comprehensive threat model for our entire organization, and will be supported directly by the Sr. Director, Cloud Security Operations & Engineering; you will also have a direct connection to the Chief Information Security Officer as the technical advisor to Coupa’s Security & Compliance policies. You will drive security improvements across the entire technical ecosystem. You will support other security teams in creating business-friendly security and process improvements. Finally, by getting to know our security posture as a whole and serving as our detector of unintended consequences, you will have a direct, immediate, and positive impact on our customers and users.
What You’ll Do:
- Guide both the audit/compliance and the product teams in best practice and practical solutions to manage risk and meet our regulatory requirements
- Conduct research & development projects based on new learnings about security & technology
- Collaborate on and deliver the continuous 5-year vision for security resilience at Coupa
- Partner with Security Leaders across the organization to build an accurate picture of all Coupa’s threats, and drive appropriate models to mitigate identified risk.
- Use the power of data scorecards to drive improvements across our security programs, working with Coupa-wide leadership to drive resilience into our products and platforms
What You Will Bring To Coupa:
- Have 10+ years of experience working on security, privacy, development, engineering (one or more), and mentorship.
- Improve secure software and system design practices and cross-collaborate with teams.
- Passionate about learning and demonstrate a history of problem-solving
- Mentorship and development experience to develop top-of-industry security engineers
Preferred Skills:
- Multi-cloud experience, digital transformation (migration to/from cloud), Data analytics, AI, database security experience.
- Experience with prototyping, IAM solutions that manage applications, authentication/authorization as a service, SSO new solutions and teaching concepts.
- Professional certifications such as TOGAF are a plus.
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
• Based in California: $183,500-216,000
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
