Lead Software Developer

Job Description

The Lead Software Developer reviews, analyzes, designs, and modifies systems including encoding, unit testing, debugging and documenting programs. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish complicated tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead in program design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation under general supervision and requiring minimal oversight,
• Understand and follow software development process and software development life cycle, including industry best practices.
• Instruct, direct, and validate other software developers' work; mentor and guide other junior team members as needed
• Provides management with task breakdown, effort estimates and dependencies for areas assigned in projects.
• Provide management with status reports regularly and escalate risks timely in order to maintain the project schedule properly.
• Support production systems, analyze and solve problems, and configure systems within the computing environment
• Investigate and resolve production issues in a timely manner while observing service-level parameters
• Introduces new approaches and innovation in software design and implementation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years' experience with two or more years in an enterprise application development and support environment. Technology Stack: .NET, MS SQL, C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET. RESTful API
• Experience on MS SQL Server
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming, software development life cycle.
• In-depth understanding of the concept of relational database design and database programming.
• Customer service oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize priorities in workload and manage time.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or 6+ years working experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare setting (provider/payer environment)
• Experience with workflow tools/business process management suites
• TSQL, SSIS, EDI 834
