Description
We're seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer - Front End, passionate about technology and design. Help us create an inviting, easy-to-use UX for our e-commerce customers. This Lead Engineer will guide us in building React.js components exposing custom UX functionality we'll leverage on our mature e-commerce site, and build out internal portals to facilitate our sales, fulfillment, and merchandising teams daily operations tasks. The person in this role will establish patterns, processes, and best practices as a foundation for our Front End Engineering team.
This is a fully remote role.
You'll add value for our customers and our staff while consistently and rapidly shipping high quality code and features to our platform.

Requirements
Who you are:
  • Lead level experience developing Full Stack and Front End solutions with a major programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, GoLang, Python, C#, etc).
  • Lead level experience with Front End development in React, Next.js, leveraging CSS, with strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, and VueJS.
  • Experience implementing an asset pipeline to expose common assets and styles to all Front Ends for a unified look and feel.
  • Lead level experience with responsive design patterns to implement flexible layouts that maintain consistency across different device types.
  • You implement testable code and write unit tests during UI dev that can be leveraged in CI/CD.
  • Experience and comfort with the AWS Cloud capabilities, SDKs, and CLI are required, we heaviliy leverage AWS as our underlying platform.
  • Prior experience with Vercel and Next.js are highly desireable.
  • Experience with Builder.io platform is desired but not required.
  • Experience with headless e-commerce platforms such as Shopify is desired but not required.
  • Have experience developing and working with API's (gRPC, REST, GraphQL) exposed by hosted and serverless micro-services.
  • You have lead a small team of Front End engineers and are interested in pursuing an IC leadership role.
