Who we are looking for
We are seeking a Lead Engineer for the Specialty Commerce team. Our team builds Nike's "The vAn" commerce site and enables ordering for other business models unique to NA. You are an outstanding teammate that is motivated to work in a highly collaborative and agile environment. You have proven knowledge of software engineering fundamentals and standard methodologies, with an appetite for continuous learning and a passion and desire for meeting critical business needs and serving our customers with creative technical solutions.
What you will work on
You will be responsible for key engineering decisions and development to enable inventory and warehouse management across many business needs. You will design and develop custom solutions as well as lead engineering of a 3rd party inventory management solution, SkuNexus. JavaScript and PHP will be your predominate languages.
Who you will work with
You will join the NA Tech organization in the Applications & Planning department, working together with your engineering peers, product owners and collaborators within the NA Geo on ecommerce and inventory management projects. You will partner with the larger Global Technology division by understanding and applying the Nike Matrix. You will also teach less experienced peers to help them develop in their engineering skills.

What you bring
For you to be successful in this role, you need to have demonstrable experience in most of the following:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 10+ years in information technology engineering roles
  • 7+ years database experience (MySQL, DynamoDB, Aurora, Snowflake)
  • 7+ years JavaScript development (React/Node/Typescript)
  • 5+ years PHP development
  • 5+ years Agile Software Development Lifecycle experience
  • 5+ years microservice experience (REST, API, JSON)
  • 3+ years AWS experience (Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, EC2)
  • 2+ years .Net development
  • 2+ years responsive/mobile solution development
Preferred:
  • Experience with SkuNexus warehouse management
  • Experience with Magento/Adobe Commerce Pro (v2.x or higher)
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with developing automated testing (Selenium, C#).
  • Experience with Cloud Formation or Terraforms
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (Azure DevOps)
  • Experience with Observability tools (Splunk, New Relic, SignalFx)
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and developing automated testing (Selenium, C#)
  • Experience with agile tools (Jira, Confluence)

Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.

For employees based in Colorado, this position starts at $ 145,000 per year. Information about benefits can be found here .
