Learning and Development Program Manager
Job Description
What you will be doing
- Program Development: Design and implement development programs aligned with organizational goals and strategies. This may include identifying key leadership and manager competencies, designing curriculum, selecting appropriate methodologies (such as workshops, coaching, mentoring, etc.), and creating assessment tools.
- Training Delivery: Facilitate leadership development workshops, seminars, and training sessions for employees at various levels of the organization. This may involve delivering content, leading discussions, and providing coaching and feedback to participants.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to emerging and existing leaders. This involves helping individuals identify their strengths and areas for development, setting goals, and providing guidance and support to help them grow as leaders.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate leadership potential and performance. Analyze assessment results to identify trends and areas for improvement. Use evaluation data to refine and enhance leadership development initiatives.
- Organizational Development: Partner with other HR functions and business leaders to support broader organizational development initiatives. This may include culture change efforts, team development programs, and initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Stay Current: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in leadership development. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills through professional development activities, conferences, and networking.
What you will need to know/have
- Bachelor's degree in HR, organizational development, psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Â
- Relevant certifications (e.g., coaching certification, leadership development certification) may be beneficial.Â
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the Leadership Development or L&D function or other HR functionÂ
- Blend of formal and informal HR and L&D training/educationÂ
- Familiar with various learning theories, instructional design, evaluation & measurement, performance consulting, and needs analysis, etcÂ
- Strong understanding of leadership and management theories, models, and best practices.Â
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.Â
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with individuals at all levels of the organization.Â
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.Â
- Analytical skills to assess leadership potential and evaluate program effectiveness.Â
- Project management skills to plan, execute, and track progress on multiple initiatives simultaneously.Â
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Â
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate ambiguity and change.Â
