The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Compliance Analyst to join our legal team and support the Assistant General Counsel in ensuring the legal and regulatory compliance of our operations.

The Legal Compliance Analyst will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our contractual relationships and data protection practices, including AI deployment. This position reports directly to the Assistant General Counsel and involves working closely with various departments across the organization

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing company procedures to ensure compliance with internal company policies and the requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • Perform compliance-related administrative tasks, such as performing data entry, filing legal paperwork, preparing compliance audit reports.
  • Assist the Assistant General Counsel in establishing and putting compliance policies and procedures into effect.
  • Work closely with the legal department to identify and investigate compliance issues and risks and suggest ways to prevent or resolve them.
  • Oversee data privacy matters and artificial intelligence deployment and ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulations.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and provide guidance on data processing activities to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in 3rd party SOC 2, ISO 27001, Privacy, PCI-DSS, and other regulatory audits, as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain privacy policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Manage risk and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare compliance reports as requested.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a similar field
  • 2+ years of experience as a Compliance Administrator or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in compliance management software
  • Extensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements and practices in our industry including relevant data privacy landscapes (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, CANSPAM, PIPEDA, etc.), and AI deployment
