About the role: 

Working within our Digital Services Practice as a M365 / Digital Workplace Consultant (M365 & Identity) you will work within a talented team who are passionate about software development and delivering business value to our customers.

Here’s what the role looks like:

Essential Experience

• Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online / Exchange Hybrid
• Migration tooling and architectures
• Cloud Network & Connectivity fundamentals
• Microsoft Active Directory / Entra ID
• Identity & Authentication architectures (Cloud native and hybrid), including Entra external identities, federation models and multi-tenant organisations
• Identity driven security (Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, Defender for Identity PIM etc.)
• Identity Governance capabilities
• Solid understanding of the Microsoft Zero Trust Framework and supporting customers maturity journeys
• Good understanding of Microsoft, NCSC, CIS and ISO frameworks and best practice guidance for M365 services
• M365 licensing fundamentals and capabilities
• M365 readiness, remediation and implementation plans

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge and experience of Azure Infrastructure and Security Services
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps
• Information security and protection (Sensitivity Labels, Microsoft Purview, DLP etc.)
• Understanding of the wider M365 stack covering Endpoint management (Intune) and security workloads etc.
• PowerShell and automation
• Understanding of NIST CSF (Cyber Security Framework)

Here are the key skills and experience relevant to this role: 

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Proven track record for designing/delivering complex solutions for a range of customers, from Mid-market to Enterprise scale
• 5+ years of experience in either a channel, vendor or customer side hands-on technical consulting role
• Experience of migrating organisations to M365
• Strong background of producing high quality documentation and solution artefacts
• An awareness of the cyber security risk landscape and Microsoft capabilities that combat it
• Can advise customers on the Microsoft Cloud Security capabilities across the M365 (and where applicable Azure) platform, particularly on the Defender suite of technologies
• A good understanding of best practices for designing and securing Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory
• A potential candidate must be able implement a hybrid messaging and identity framework to take a customer from ‘art of the possible’ to design, through to PoC/Pilot and implementation
• Microsoft MS-102, SC-900, AZ-500, SC-100, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-104 or AZ-305 not essential but valued for the role
• SC and/or NPPV3 beneficial but not essential
• Good organisational and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated and looking for a challenge
• Naturally proactive
• Passionate, professional and with a “can-do” attitude at all times
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Fast learner and able to adapt to new technology and keep abreast of current industry trends and best practices.
