Manager, Accounts Payable

The Manager, Accounts Payable will be responsible for performing all aspects of accounts payable, including but not limited to expense reimbursements, P-card expenses, and invoice processing. This position will provide full-cycle accounts payable support while applying general accounting knowledge and performing tasks to support the current operations and growth of our organization. They will drive value focusing on process standardization, optimization, automation, and digitization. This position reports to the P2P leader and the ideal candidate will have experience with implementing AP automation technology solutions and be well versed in lean six sigma and process optimization, with a strong understanding of full cycle procure to pay.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for managing the accounts payable function in compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
• Effectively identify, recommend, and implement scalable process optimization, resource efficiency and automation opportunities
• Act as point of escalation for accounts payable and business process owners to ensure timely remediation of issues
• Partner with Treasury to plan and execute cash management needs
• Manage and develop team members to meet key metrics such as on-time and accurate invoice processing and to plan and execute improvement projects
• Develop and report Key Performance Indicators on SLAs with a focus on providing the highest quality service
• Participate in the implementation of any Procure to Pay solutions and/or systems upgrades and develop new processes and procedures to address changes
• Collaborate closely with F&A for an efficient close process and to produce accurate financial reporting
• Ensure timeliness of annual vendor 1099s and other tax-related filings
• Participate in implementing internal control procedures (SOX)
• Work closely with external auditors during audit by preparing requested information and addressing auditor inquiries
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing on-going training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
• Participate in special projects, analysis and ad-hoc tasks as required by management 

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of supervisory experience required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• Thorough understanding of Procure to Pay operational concepts
• Experience with Procure to Pay software implementation and/or ERP enhancements
• CPA preferred (Active or Inactive)
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP
• Possess excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and prioritization skills
• Experience designing and implementing new policies and procedures with proven ability to drive process and system improvements
• Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Ability to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
• Positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
• Team player, strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, dependability, and, last but not least, a good sense of humor
