About the Role
This role balances expertise in CAD modeling with managing operational teams. Manage the day-to-day design operations, including but not limited to developing and maintaining design guidelines, best practices, and SOPs. The role is customer-facing and requires deep knowledge of the solar industry, including pre-sale and post-sales workflows. You will oversee. You will also influence our product design and direction by relaying customer requests back to Aurora's Engineering and Product Management teams.
What You'll Do

• Manage multiple design teams across time zones to ensure the deliverable meets Aurora's strict standards.
• Manage internal and client-facing documentation
• Develop SOP and best practice training materials for site model specialists
• Liaise with internal partners to improve our design services offerings and operational framework
• Work closely with sales, product, engineering, and marketing teams to aid with various initiatives that impact our customers

What We Value

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in the design and engineering of residential PV systems and or solar proposals
• Experience using Aurora and Helioscope site modeling and system design tools
• Knowledge of IFC, fire pathways, and electrical design requirements
• Knowledge of the solar lifecycle from lead to the installation
• Knowledge of, JIRA, ZenDesk, Slack, and Google Suite
• Ability to identify and resolve design issues
• Ability to work with complex technical questions
• Proven expertise in operations management
• Excellent written, chat, and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a startup environment and/or the solar industry
