This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, DevOps. In this role, you will lead a high-performance team to tackle engineering challenges and contribute to the development of advanced cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing a talented group of engineers, fostering their growth, and ensuring the operational excellence of daily activities. You will play a critical role in cultivating a collaborative team environment while driving strategic initiatives and improving best practices across the organization. Accountabilities

  • Manage reporting staff, including selection, coaching, mentoring, development, performance management and all other people-management practices.
  • Provide strategic support to help direct reports build their desired career paths.
  • Oversee daily operations of the DevOps team and leverage data to enhance engineering practices.
  • Develop, design, and improve products that achieve measurable results while effectively communicating with stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for resiliency, quality, security, and reliability.
  • Facilitate communication and feedback among multiple stakeholders.
  • Challenge the status quo to drive positive organizational change.
  • Requirements

  • 8 years of software development and/or operational (SRE) experience with people leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience managing software development and/or operational (SRE) teams of 8+ engineers.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable cloud infrastructure using public cloud services.
  • Ability to build inclusive and cohesive teams that leverage diversity for common objectives.
  • Proven track record of developing team capacity and capability.
  • Skilled in identifying key issues and crafting long-range goals and integrated action plans.
  • Strong ability to deliver results through others and establish clear direction.
  • Proficient in process/project management with effective timeline management.
  • Commitment to consistently achieving high performance and delivering results.
  • Collaborative mindset with an orientation toward teamwork and group success.
