The Manager, Digital Interaction Team will oversee Interaction Developers, who work as part of the larger Digital Curriculum Team. Interaction Developers create detailed interactive graphs and digital manipulatives, for use in digital lessons, practice, and assessments for Amplify's Core Math program. The Manager, Digital Interaction Team reports to the Director, Digital Curriculum.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of Interaction Developers.
  • Organize and lead regular meetings with the Interaction Team
  • Ensure that the Interaction Team is able to meet requirements set forth by the Digital Curriculum team in a timely manner.
  • Work with Digital Curriculum leadership, HR, and Talent Acquisition to identify and hire new talent.
  • Onboard new team members.
  • Ensuring that best practices for interactive development are captured, documented, and collectively understood by the team.
  • Supporting the Director, Digital Curriculum in representing the broader Digital Curriculum team in product-wide meetings and decision-making.
  • Ensuring that members of the Interaction Team have sufficient time to explore their own professional development, such as participating in team-wide challenges and exercises or experimenting with new authoring tools.
  • Managing team collections of digital activities and other tools.

The Manager, Digital Interaction Team also shares the following responsibilities with the rest of the Interaction Team:
  • Author digital interactives and manipulatives for the Amplify Core Math program.
  • Revise interactives based on feedback from Digital Curriculum team, the Design team, the Curriculum team, and the Product team.
  • Meet regularly with the Curriculum Team to review specifications for requested interactives.
  • Work with the Design team in integrating images and illustrations into interactives.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of authoring experience with Desmos Activity Builder, the Desmos graphing calculator, and Mathigon's Polypad.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or another quantitative field.
  • Comfort in the following mathematical domains:
    • Advanced algebra
    • Trigonometry
    • Calculus
    • Statistics
  • Proficiency using digital teamwork tools, including spreadsheets and Google Drive.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with the Amplify Math curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of authoring experience with Desmos Activity Builder and the Desmos graphing calculator.
  • Prior experience leading a team of math educators or curriculum developers.

What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $95,000 - $105,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
