Manager Finance - Trade

JOB DESCRIPTION:Primary Job Function

• Handling Trade Function (Imports and Exports) for entire legal entity Abbott India Limited, Abbott India Limited Nepal and Abbott laboratories, Sri Lanka, inclusive of IDPMS and EDPMS clearing.
• Handling Investments for the Surplus Funds available, calculations, placements, documentation, and accounting in SAP Treasury Module.
• Hedging for all Merchandise Imports.
• Handling the Bank Guarantee and Letter of Commitment Portfolio.
• Earnest money deposit (EMD) portfolio.
• Handling various Audits including SOX, statutory audits, Internal audits, and Corporate Audits.
• Preparation of Daily Cash Flow.
• Verification of all Treasury indigenous payments for AIL, ALSC and Nepal.

Core Job Responsibilities

List the primary tasks and/or activities this job performs on an ongoing basis.

• On Import Remittances
  • Ensuring Import Remittances with IDPMS closure.

• On Export Remittances
  • Ensuring seamless liaison with banks for all the export LCs, accounting, and co-ordination with the Receivables and SCM Teams along with EDPMS closure
• GR Waiver process handling
• For Investments and Cash flow
  • Ensuring timely placements in adherence to corporate investment policy.
  • Preparation of prescribed documentation and accounting in Treasury module SAP
  • Preparing & maintaining cash flow.
• For Hedging
  • Ensuring that 100% Merchandise Imports are Hedged on Monthly basis, in time and according to the corporate policy.
  • Compliance to all RBI related and FEMA related Regulations.

• Bank Guarantees and Letter of Commitment
  • Ensuring Issuance of Bank Guarantees’ as per the Business requirements as per the prescribed TAT and publishing monthly MIS.

• For Bank Liaison
  • Liaison with Banking Institution for services, documentation and compliance towards RBI regulations and FEMA Rules. 
• Audits
  • Compliance to the Corporate Policies, Internal policies and FEMA and RBI Guidelines to ensure 100% compliance to all the governing laws.
• Earnest Money Deposit
  • Ensure issuance of EMDs for all tender related requirement and publish a monthly MIS customer wise, bank wise.
• Verification of all Treasury payments
  • Carry out the verification of all Treasury Payments with respect to Maker Checker concept.

Position Accountability / Scope

Indicate the reporting relationships, products, budgets, throughput, level of contacts (internal and external), or other scoping measures this job is responsible for.

• Reports to the Manager Finance for AIL. Supports the entire AIL Business for Disbursements and other related banking operations.
• Accountable for disbursements, investments, hedging and cash flow for the entity.

Minimum Education

• MBA degree

Minimum Experience/Training Required

Indicate the minimum experience and/or training required to perform this job.

• Minimum experience of 8 to 10 years
• Experience in Banking/Finance.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP with Treasury Module.
• Knowledge of FEMA and banking regulations.
