Our location in Sylmar, Ca, currently has an opportunity for a Manager, Global Strategic Market Insights to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) team
This high-visibility role is critical to CRM Therapies' planning process and serves as a Division authority on global market dynamics and the competitive landscape. The Global Strategic Market Insights team brings data to life by providing high-quality data and analytics, keen market insight, and strategic foresight that supports investment decisions, including product development, clinical programs, marketing programs, and product launches and plays a key role in the strategy and financial planning processes. As a leader on this team, you will be a trusted resource that defines analytic methodology, drives alignment across the organization, and provides analysis that transforms data into actionable insights that can be executed with confidence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manages a small but growing team of analysts overseeing their work products and ensuring they reach their full potential through professional development and coaching.
- Develops and maintains global market models for assigned segments. Works with Marketing, Health Care Economics, Finance, Product, Commercial and Geography leaders to ensure that models reflect the anticipated market shifts, and achieve buy-in, while maintaining objectivity, surfacing keen insights and ensuring that models have basis in fact.
- Create and deliver insightful and succinct presentations to colleagues and executive leadership.
- Supports in the collection, interpretation, and dissemination of Competitive Intelligence for assigned segments, in concert with pan Division Competitive Intelligence colleagues. Synthesizes information from multiple sources to generate insights. Supports wargame and scenario planning activities.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of information on Abbott and competitor pipelines and strategies.
- Assists with the creation and management of internal data dashboards.
- Actively communicates model updates, competitive updates, and insights to global business partners on a timely basis.
- Supports the development of Strategic and Operating Plans.
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required
- Bachelors Degree (± 12 years) in Marketing, Finance, and/or Economics oran equivalent combination of education and work experience of a Masters Degree (± 15 years)
- Minimum 12 years related experience including People management experience is required.
Preferred
- MBA and 5-10 years of medical device industry experience preferred.
- Possess advanced spreadsheet and data analytic skills.
- Ability to create powerful presentations and tell stories using data.
- Advanced experience with Excel is required; Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, and other advanced data analysis software is strongly preferred.
- Ability to analyze data and surface keen business insights and possess the ability to transition from tactics to strategy.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, changing environment, and ability to manage through ambiguity
- Ability to leverage and engage with others to accomplish projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%, including internationally.
