The Opportunity

This position works out of our Charlottesville location in the Cardiometabolic and Informatics. Our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world's greatest healthcare challenges.

As the Manager Interface & Technical Implementation, you'll have the chance to directly oversees the Interface Department, Supervisor and Senior Operations Analyst(s). This role is tasked with employee development, process improvement, developing training requirements, strategic planning in addition, this role is expected to ensure that departmental practices align with operational directives and goals.

What You'll Work On

  • Daily oversight of the Interface Department and Senior Operations Analyst(s) and Supervisor and related team.
  • Develop and maintain departmental processes, including final sign off on all SOPs, work instructions, and other documentation governing the implementation of the RALS LIS interface
  • Drive ongoing process improvements
  • Define and clearly communicate job expectations for all direct report roles
  • Continually monitor departmental workload to ensure balance as well as anticipate and plan for possible shifts in resource needs
  • Coordinate with other Operations groups to ensure smooth product implementation and maintenance
  • Collaborate with Training to develop and maintain job specific training requirements and records
  • Advise and coordinate with Sales with regard to customer specific requirements
  • Maintain and communicate awareness of product-specific lifecycle work and be able to summarize potential impact on normal revenue-producing workflow
  • Provide all direct reports with regular feedback and maintain an ongoing dialogue regarding developmental requirements and opportunities
  • Provide regular updates to the Director of Operations on workload status, capacity, and challenges facing the department
  • Provide groups outside Operations with relevant updates, serving as an SME to both internal and external customers as needed
  • Maintain all processes/procedures and related documentation per the quality system.
  • The Manager will also have responsibility for the development and recruitment of a superior team, creating a high-performing team based culture. This role will define, implement, track and ultimately influence key performance indicators and deliver superior, consistent and predictable results.
  • Plan, coordinate and direct the tasks of their direct reports, develop and train employees in their functional areas of responsibility and provide leadership skills, including the ability to establish a vision, lead by example, supporting the development of talents and skills within the team and performance coaching; working with team members to set individual goals and track results.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and 5 years' experience of software implementation
  • Minimum 5 years working within the medical informatics field in an Operational and/or Support capacity
  • Minimum of 3 years' management experience overseeing one or more
  • Familiarity with remote connectivity, network communication protocols, and fundamental IT terminology
  • Familiarity with standard hospital LIS/HIS terminology

Preferred Qualifications

  • RALS experience a plus
  • Project Management experience a plus
