MANAGER β KYC OPERATIONS
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Manages the centralized BSA Functions such KYC, CDD, EDD, OFAC, CTR, and SAR. Responsible for managing and developing the holistic KYC Framework, KYC automated system integration with inline processes and the development of staff in their job responsibilities of reviewing BSA activity. Manager will oversee efforts of the BSA functions throughout the team, monitoring and sampling KYC/EDD/Compliance files and SARW/SAR files to validate completeness, monitoring for any suspicious activity and identification of anomalies. Develop ongoing enhancements and automation to deliver cutting edge KYC/EDD technology.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Supports BSA Officer in the fulfillment of BSA Activities such as KYC, CDD, EDD, OFAC, CTR and SAR requirements.
- Identifies and creates an integrated, automated KYC Review Process, which includes periodic EDD reviews. Adapts existing processes to solve new, complex challenges
- Identifies systems, processes and procedures to review and verify that a Know Your Client (KYC) is completed for new accounts, Anticipated Activity questions for Business and Individual clients with new transactional accounts and periodic review criteria for ongoing monitoring.
- Set strategic goals for your team and group. Supervises, trains, coaches and motivates staff; assists and directs staff as needed to ensure productivity and service levels are met.
- Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders and share your expertise in the decision-making process
- Provides guidance and framework to Periodic Reviews of clients to determine compliance risk, identify deviations from expected behaviors based on client profile and update profile to determine accuracy of client risk level. Reviews may utilize a variety of internal bank systems and external research tools, subscription-based websites, public records to investigate, research, and prepare documentation/summaries consistent with resolution of investigation.
- Prioritize focus towards areas identified as having the highest level of risk to the company.
- Ensures activities are in compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and CNB policy and procedure.
- Obtains further documentation as required for the analysis from appropriate areas and resources.
- Responsible for presenting to BSA Officer and ESARRC the results of anomalies and escalation such as restricted or prohibited activity consistent with CNB policy requiring BSA Escalation discovered through research to HRC (High Risk Client) and/or unusual activity to Compliance Investigations.
- Proactively identifies researches and recommends policies and procedures changes to reduce costs, streamline operations and/or increase efficiency.
- Participates in and supports bank-wide projects.
- Integrates activities with other departments to accomplish common goals.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Bank policies and procedures. Complies fully with all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Code of Conduct, etc.).
- Serves as resource to internal and external customers; ensures quality customer service and effective and efficient operational support.
- Applies both technical and general business knowledge to resolve the most complex issues in assigned function.
- Ensures assigned employees are in compliance with specified CNB compliance guidelines.
- Under direction of management, performs human resource duties, including hiring, firing, performance reviews and counseling.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or a minimum 4 years of administrative/operations planning and development
- Minimum of 10 yearsβ experience in Banking Services or related function, with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience with regulatory requirements with specific emphasis on BSA and USA Patriot Act.
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to perform functional duties and related positions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Bank personnel and customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent meeting facilitator and communicate clearly in person and on the page
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
- Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills.
- Knowledge of bank policies and procedures and regulatory requirements with specific emphasis on BSA and USA Patriot Act.
- Knowledge of Criminal Law and regulations.
- Background and knowledge of complex financial investigations and Forensic Accounting.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and/or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and provide guidance, makes recommendations, and/or escalates the issues.
- Ability to handle problem situations with colleagues and clients effectively.
- Preferred experience with AML transformation including client lifecycle management, advanced analytics for AML/KYC/Sanctions and AML Technology implementation
- Preferred working experience with tech vendors in AML/Financial Crime, risk and compliance
- Preferred at least five years in AML / KYC process deign and re-engineering
Compensation
Starting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
